OUR BELIEFS

THE BIBLE

We believe that God has revealed Himself and His plan for redemption to humanity through his Holy Scripture.

(2 Tim 3:15)

GOD

We believe in the One true God, who has created all things, and lives in perfect relationship and unity as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 43:10-11)

JESUS

We believe that Jesus is our Savior, Healer, Spirit

Baptizer, and Coming King. (Acts 2:22-24, 32-33, 38)

THE GOSPEL

Is the message concerning Jesus’ mission to defeat the powers of Sin and Death and brings humanity into a relationship with God. (Acts 10:36-43)

SALVATION

The Word of God states that “all have sinned”, which is the act and condition which separates us from God. Because He loves us, God has provided the only means by which humankind can have our sins forgiven, granting us the opportunity to become sons and daughters of God.

COMMUNION

Once a month we come together to celebrate the Lord’s Supper, and remember Christ’s suffering and death on our behalf (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

THE CHURCH

The Church is the collection of those who are now found in Christ, because of the work that God has done in Christ, and are now the agents of God’s Mission of redemption in the world. (Eph 2:18-22)

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that the message of Salvation is for the whole person, and that through prayer, in Jesus' name, can make people whole. (James 5:14-15)

BAPTISM

Is the public declaration that we have fully committed ourselves to Christ, and have symbolically and spiritually been united with Him in His death and resurrection. (Romans 6:3-5)

*Evangel Church is a part of the The Assemblies of God.  The Assemblies of God is a fellowship of self-governing churches a part of the Pentecostal denomination.

JESUS IS THE AUTHOR OF OUR STORY

Jesus is the sovereign God who not only writes our story, but also enters into it in order to dramatically change us for His glory.

WE WANT HEAVEN HERE

We want God's rule and reign to manifest in miraculous ways and build His Kingdom made up of every tribe, nation and tongue.

WE PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS

We believe in the power of prayer and the God who answers.

WE DON'T BURY OUR TALENT

We generously partner in God's mission with our resources and we make the most of what God has entrusted to us.

WE FOLLOW THE PROMPT

We are obedient to the move and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

WE ROW TOGETHER

We harness the power of groups and teams to move together in unity.

WE LIVE ON MISSION

We are called to go across the street and around the world to fulfill the Great Commission.
