Deshawn Burton
Deshawn gave his life to Christ 24 years ago and was engaged actively in ministry and leadership at Times Square Church in NYC until he started attending Evangel in 2020 with his wife Noel and five children. Deshawn has been a member of Evangel Church for three years.
He works as a billing specialist/consultant in the Medical Claims Industry.
Deshawn has served at Evangel in the following areas:
• Deacon Board Alternate and Recording Secretary / Current-2023
• Marriage Mentor Ministry
• Rooted Leader / Facilitator
• Men’s Life Group Leader
Lizette Vazquez
Lizette has been in Christ since 1984 and has attended Evangel Church along with her husband Enrique since 2000. They are long time members and have three grown children. She works in Human Resources, specializing in organizational / strategic development and
effectiveness.
Lizette has served at Evangel in the following areas:
• Deacon Board Member / 2013-2015 ( Board President in 2015 )
• Altar Prayer Ministry Team / Parent’s Prayer Leader
• Mission Committee / Missions Trip Volunteer
• Choir Member
• Girls Ministries Volunteer
• Homeschool Group Leader
Mark-Anthony Williams
Mark-Anthony has been a Christian since childhood having grown up in the home of a Pastor. After moving to the USA from Jamaica, he attended Times Square Church in NYC and served in leadership roles including Young Adults Ministry, Projection/Media and Missions. Mark- Anthony, his wife Atteliah, and their four children started attending Evangel in 2007 and became members in 2022.
He works as a registered nurse and has been a team leader in a post operative care unit.
Mark-Anthony has served at Evangel in the following areas:
• Men’s Ministry Events Team
• Life Group leader
• Marriage Mentor Ministry
Melinda Cora
Melinda committed her life to Christ in 2004 and started attending Evangel Church along with her husband Miguel and three children in 2010. Melinda became a member the same year. She works in the corporate world handling asset and project management as well as product implementation.
Melinda has served at Evangel in the following areas:
• Girls Ministries Leader / Children’s Ministry Leader
• VBS Leader
• Life Group Leader
• Outreach Leader including Service 4 Service, Backpack Outreach and Christmas Blessings
• Missions Trip Leader
• Choir Member
Jeff Wolinsky
Jeff gave his life to Christ in 1995 and became a member of Evangel Church in 1997 along with his wife Ruth. They have three adult children. Jeff pursued a degree in Biblical Studies and has been a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God since 2006. He works as a Senior Credit Officer.
Jeff has served at Evangel in the following areas:
• Deacon Board Member for a total of nine years including a term as Church Treasurer from 2010-2012
• Finance Committee
• Men’s Ministry Leader / Men’s Bible Study Leader
• Couples Small Group Leader
• Mission Trip Leader
• Youth Leader
